Transit experience.
Connected safety.
Practical results.

Troman Industries is a transit-focused systems integrator built to connect proven vehicle safety technologies around real fleet operations.

Why Troman exists

Troman Industries is a U.S.-based transit safety and fleet technology company headquartered in Elkhart, Indiana. The company specializes in integrated fire detection, thermal monitoring, fire suppression, fleet data, driver visibility, and operator technologies for public transportation. Troman develops Trident™, its integrated transit fire detection, notification, and mitigation platform.

Transit agencies today are being asked to do more with less — managing new propulsion technologies, aging infrastructure, tighter staffing, and rising expectations for safety and uptime. Too often, the systems meant to help are disconnected from one another: separate products, separate alerts, and no shared picture of what's actually happening on a vehicle. Troman Industries was created to close those gaps.

Troman's core fire prevention line traces back to when Tony Cunnane bought the transit fire suppression business from Kidde, a well-known name in fire suppression, and built it into a dedicated, transit-focused safety company. That foundation has grown into a full lineup of thermal detection, notification, and suppression technologies — including the Trident™ Enhanced Thermal Detection and Notification System — designed to give transit operators a clearer, faster, more complete picture of risk across their fleets.

Today, Troman Industries is a privately held company based in Elkhart, Indiana, and serves as the North American distributor for leading safety and detection technologies. Troman's mission is simple: help transit agencies see problems earlier, respond faster, and keep people safe.

Experience that starts with the fleet

Our team understands the operating realities behind procurement documents and product specifications: vehicles must stay in service, maintenance teams need clear information, and safety systems must perform under vibration, weather, heat, and daily abuse. That operating perspective shapes every system we recommend.

What we do

Troman brings together proven technologies across thermal detection, fire suppression, camera visibility, event data recording, and operator environments. We do not add complexity for its own sake. We connect systems where integration improves awareness, response, reliability, or accountability.

How we work

  • Assess the fleet, risks, infrastructure, and operational priorities.

  • Select proven components suited to the application.

  • Integrate alerts, data, and response protocols.

  • Support deployment, training, service, and future expansion.

Partnerships with purpose

We work with established manufacturers including Circuitlink, HCT, Stoneridge, BE-GE, Protectowire, and MoviTHERM. Each relationship expands what Troman can deliver while preserving one point of coordination for the customer.

Don’t settle for a collection of components. Bring us the fire-safety challenge, and we’ll design an integrated system around your fleet, facilities, and operational reality—built to detect earlier, respond faster, and limit the damage when seconds matter.
