Troman Industries is a U.S.-based transit safety and fleet technology company headquartered in Elkhart, Indiana. The company specializes in integrated fire detection, thermal monitoring, fire suppression, fleet data, driver visibility, and operator technologies for public transportation. Troman develops Trident™, its integrated transit fire detection, notification, and mitigation platform.
Transit agencies today are being asked to do more with less — managing new propulsion technologies, aging infrastructure, tighter staffing, and rising expectations for safety and uptime. Too often, the systems meant to help are disconnected from one another: separate products, separate alerts, and no shared picture of what's actually happening on a vehicle. Troman Industries was created to close those gaps.
Troman's core fire prevention line traces back to when Tony Cunnane bought the transit fire suppression business from Kidde, a well-known name in fire suppression, and built it into a dedicated, transit-focused safety company. That foundation has grown into a full lineup of thermal detection, notification, and suppression technologies — including the Trident™ Enhanced Thermal Detection and Notification System — designed to give transit operators a clearer, faster, more complete picture of risk across their fleets.
Today, Troman Industries is a privately held company based in Elkhart, Indiana, and serves as the North American distributor for leading safety and detection technologies. Troman's mission is simple: help transit agencies see problems earlier, respond faster, and keep people safe.

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Tony Cunnane is the Chief Executive Officer of Troman Industries and a 40-year veteran of the public transportation industry. He began his career with the New York City Transit Authority, working in fleet maintenance, research and development, new bus procurement, and warranty management.
After more than two decades at NYCT, Tony moved into product development and manufacturing for the transit market. He co-founded TCB Industries, which produced LED lighting, stanchions, barriers, luggage systems, and other transit bus components. Tony later founded Metro Transit Sales, helping innovative transportation products gain visibility and adoption throughout North America.
At Troman, he leads the company’s development of advanced fire detection, thermal monitoring, notification, and suppression technologies.
His experience spans transit operations, procurement, manufacturing, sales, and strategic product development. Tony remains focused on delivering practical technologies that improve fleet safety, reliability, and operational performance.

Brandon Curtis is Executive Vice President of Sales, Business, and Product Development at Troman Industries, where he helps guide the company’s commercial strategy and expanding technology portfolio. He brings decades of experience in transit technology, product development, sales leadership, and agency-focused system integration.
Earlier in his career, Brandon served as North American Sales Manager for Hanover Displays, helping transit agencies evaluate emerging passenger-information and digital-signage technologies. he later served as Executive Managing Director at Aesys, working at the intersection of onboard communications, fleet data, and evolving transit technology.
Throughout his career, Brandon has emphasized practical solutions, open communication, and technology that delivers measurable value to agencies and taxpayers.
At Troman, he leads sales, business development, and product strategy for advanced monitoring, detection, data, and fire-suppression systems. He has played a central role in introducing Trident and communicating its shift from reactive fire response toward earlier detection and intervention.
Brandon remains focused on connecting transit agencies with integrated technologies that improve safety, visibility, reliability, and long-term fleet performance.

Christine McDonald is General Manager at Troman Industries, where she oversees the day-to-day operations that support the company’s continued growth. She helps coordinate the people, processes, and resources required to move projects from planning through production and delivery.
Her role connects company leadership with the operational teams responsible for serving customers and supporting Troman’s technology portfolio. Christine brings a practical, organized approach to managing priorities, maintaining internal communication, and keeping work moving efficiently. She also supports the administrative and logistical demands of a growing company operating within the specialized public transportation market.

Robert “Rob” Dunster is Director of Engineering at Troman Industries, where he leads the technical development and integration of the company’s transit safety systems.
He brings extensive experience in vehicle fire detection, suppression engineering, product testing, and system performance.Before joining Troman, Rob worked with Kidde Technologies UK on fire-protection solutions developed specifically for buses and other transit vehicles.
His work has included research into engine-compartment fires and the effectiveness of automatic extinguishing systems under real-world operating conditions.
Rob has also contributed to industry presentations and technical discussions surrounding fire risks aboard zero-emission buses. At Troman, he helps translate emerging detection, monitoring, and suppression technologies into practical, integrated vehicle solutions.

Chad Rouse is Principal Engineer at Troman Industries, where he supports the development and integration of advanced fire-protection technologies for transit vehicles. He brings specialized experience in vehicle fire detection, suppression systems, thermal-risk assessment, and engineering for electric fleets.
Before joining Troman, Chad worked with KlineFire, contributing technical expertise to the evolving challenges surrounding zero-emission vehicle safety. His work has included studying thermal runaway incidents and the ways fires originating elsewhere on a vehicle can threaten high-voltage battery systems. Chad has also shared industry insights on protecting electric fleets when no single suppression agent can fully extinguish a lithium-ion cell fire. At Troman, he helps evaluate how detection, notification, monitoring, and suppression technologies can function as a coordinated system.
