Small bus fire extinguisher
Compact suppression for smaller vehicle hazard zones.
Seven kilograms of Purple K for compartments up to 3 m³
The Troman small-bus extinguisher is an 8-liter vessel containing 7 kg of Purple K dry chemical pressurized to 24 bar. It is designed to protect engine compartments and other vehicle hazard zones with volumes up to 3 m³.
The extinguisher is supplied in a vertical orientation with mounting hardware and a choice of standard or electronic pressure gauge. An electronic gauge can provide a low-pressure signal to the operator or controller.
The Troman small-bus extinguisher provides 7 kg of Purple K dry chemical suppression for transit vehicle engine compartments and hazard zones up to 3 m³.
Size the extinguisher to the protected volume
Use the compact vessel where the hazard and compartment allow it.
Smaller buses, paratransit vehicles, and focused equipment zones may not require the mass or packaging of a large extinguisher. The correct design still depends on enclosure volume, airflow, nozzle placement, fuel sources, and applicable standards.
Monitor pressure as part of system readiness
Choose a visual or electronic gauge configuration.
Gauge orientation options support installation visibility, while an electronic gauge can provide a low-pressure warning through the system. Scheduled inspection and service remain part of the protection plan.
Key capabilities
8-liter vessel
7 kg Purple K at 24 bar
Protection for hazard zones up to 3 m³
Vertical installation
Standard or electronic pressure gauge
Multiple gauge orientations
Wall- or floor-mounted bracket
DOT, Transport Canada, and TPED approvals listed by Troman
Protect the smaller compartment without oversizing the hardware.
Troman can confirm protected volume, extinguisher sizing, nozzle layout, bracket orientation, detector strategy, and control integration.
