Software Engineer

Troman Industries is seeking a Software Engineer to help develop and enhance software solutions that support vehicle safety, monitoring, diagnostics, and fleet intelligence. This role will work closely with product managers, hardware engineers, and customers to create innovative solutions for the transportation industry.
Key responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and embedded solutions.
Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate hardware and software systems.
Develop tools for fleet monitoring, diagnostics, reporting, and analytics.
Troubleshoot software issues and provide technical support as needed.
Participate in product roadmap planning and feature development.
Maintain software documentation and technical specifications.
Required experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of software development experience.
Experience with C#, Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar languages.
Knowledge of cloud technologies and API development.
Familiarity with Git and Agile development methodologies.
Ideal candidate
Experience with vehicle telematics, IoT, or transportation technologies.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
